My new $700 1973 Porsche 914.

Sweeet! She need anything major?

yeah, it needs some rust repair and all sorts of shit gone through.

Here's a list of what I've come up with so far:
-take the gas tank out to fix a pinched fuel line.
-change all fluids
-get new battery
-replace all the rubber body seals (door, hood, trunk, targa top, etc)
-clean out carbs
-get new tires
-new paint
-repair rust spots (rear trunk section is pretty bad)

I haven't been able to do much since it's been pissing rain lately and the car is outside. I've washed it and that's about it. I'm going to get my dad to buy a decent mig welder for me to use when we get to the rust repair portion of the project. He's funding the project while I do all the work so we can both have a fun sports car to drive, we've also both wanted a Porsche for quite a while.

A couple of things that I may do in the future:
-GT fender flares or possibly replace the quarter panels/fenders with GT fiberglass replacements
-911 front suspension and 914-6 rear suspension for better handling, braking and 5 lug pattern.
-Subaru engine conversion. need I say more about this one?

I don't think I've ever seen one of those. Pretty cool.

Love miata's too but If I can only have one right now the c5 wins out with its usable cargo space and stylish good looks.

That's a lot of paint to buff... just keep that nice fiberglass out of the way of the old Detroit iron this time.
